  • Murray Avenue Back to School Free Ice Cream Social
NEW THIS YEAR, the PTA is planning an afternoon of ices and watermelon on the Murray Avenue large playground.  Please join us on Friday, September 11th, after dismissal, from 3:30pm - 4:30pm, with your children and share Rita's ices and watermelon.

All students, parents and faculty are welcome to share these treats while mingling and catching up.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  We hope to see you there!

  • Did Your Child Order School Supplies Last Spring?
Last week 112 cartons of school supplies were delivered to Murray. Many parents and children donated their time sorting and delivering the individual school supply kits to the students' new classrooms - the hallways and classrooms were buzzing with activity and Murray community spirit! Thanks to all our volunteers and our terrific custodial staff who took a break from their regular duties to help out as well.

The extra items (water bottles, backpacks, etc) ordered by individual students were packaged separately by our supplier and also delivered to the classrooms by our volunteers. If there are any incomplete packages (something is missing or damaged) please contact either Laura Lavan at rlavan@msn.com or Kristine Budill at kbudill@diplex.com as soon as possible.

Sixty-five percent of our students participated in the program. Feedback from parents has been great, so we will be reviewing opportunities for continuing the service again next year.
