Did You Get Your "Murray
Minute"? In
response to requests from Murray parents and
teachers to cut down on the number of flyers
going home in the backpacks, this week we tried
something new: "The Murray Minute," an
e-mail communication informing Murray families of
upcoming events and information. (There were a
few technical "hiccups" and we appreciate your
patience as we work through these issues.) We
plan to send out The Murray Minute from
time to time throughout the year as needed. We
welcome your feedback on this new form of Murray
PTA communication -- please contact Ann LoBue
with comments or questions. If you wish, you can
opt out of receiving these emails by also
contacting Ann LoBue, but we encourage your
participation because at times we may use The
Murray Minute to send out information in
lieu of a flyer. |

KIDS CARE: Thanksgiving Food Collection
Project Needs Volunteers
Many
families in our own neighborhood have trouble
buying food after their bills are paid. This
Thanksgiving, Murray students can lend a helping
hand. The Community Outreach Committee, along
with the Larchmont/ Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force,
is looking for Murray students and their families
to help collect and sort food donations on Sat,
Nov 17 at Stop & Shop on the Boston Post Road,
9am-4:00pm. Help make a difference and ensure
that all families in our community have a
Thanksgiving meal this year by signing up for a
one-hour shift. A parent must accompany student
volunteers. To sign up, contact Kristen
McCarthy or Jennifer
Hirschhorn. Murray Kids

Please Don't Leave Dogs
Unattended at School!
Parent to parent, we are asking dog owners not to
tie up dogs anywhere at Murray and leave them
unattended. There are
many young children who
are very afraid of
dogs. If you need to go in the building for
any reason, please don't bring your dog to
Murray. Otherwise the school will have to
start enforcing the rule: No dogs
allowed on campus. If you like
bringing your dog along, keep her on a short
leash, stay with her at all times, avoid high
traffic areas, and teach your child (older than
Kindergarten) to enter and exit the school on his
own. Thank you for your cooperation.
