A note about RSS

RSS, Really Simple Syndication, is a way for web pages to let you know that they have updates without your needing to go and check. If you're already an experienced user of RSS feeds, then all you'll need to know is that our feed is at: http://mamkschoolspta.org/murray/rss.xml
Otherwise, you'll need a news reader. Not a TV announcer, but a type of web page that can display the feed and check for updates. Some of the most recent browsers have them built in, including Firefox 3, IE 7, and Opera 9. Otherwise, there are plenty of choices; all of the following are just websites and will work for you with a couple of minutes of tweaking. You'll be able to use them for PTA news, school news, and lots of major news services.
- There's Google Reader
- If you use iGoogle, the customisable home page, then click here.

- If you use My Yahoo, click here.
(It's been a bit flaky, but as of 22 Jan it's doing OK.)
- More to follow once we've tested them.
- Bloglines is a blog-oriented website to collect feeds from blogs and other sites.
Note: if you choose to use one of these services, then you'll be able to use it to subscribe to the school news too.
