| Thanks of the Week: It's time to thank Daymon Terrace Chair Jennifer Haas and the many parents who volunteered to help our children get out of the car and into the school safely each morning. Through rain, and snow, and heat, you get to school early so that we all can have a safer, faster and easier time at drop-off each morning! | |||||

| Writers, Directors and Actors Needed for All-Elementary Parent Education Program: Mark Levy, Director of the Community Counseling Center, a public non-profit center created 30 years ago by our school district and the three municipalities to help local youth and their families in the community, is putting together an all-elementary parent education program for next spring and looking for 10 parent volunteers from each school to help out. Volunteers from all four elementary schools will meet and develop a series of skits to be performed by both parents and kids demonstrating good and not-so-good parenting at various ages and what happens over time. The ultimate goal is to provide a vehicle for bringing parents of the four elementary schools together before Hommocks so we can start talking with each other, begin to develop a parent community that is able to share ideas, discuss tough issues and help prevent children from falling through the cracks. Mark Levy ran this program about 5 years ago and it was highly successful. If you are interested in getting involved or if you have any questions, please contact Sue Bokert or Kristine Budill. | |||||
