Dear Parents and Teachers, This is our final issue of Tiger Talk for 07/08 and we would like to thank you all for your support throughout the year. We are in awe of the vast array of programs and activities created and orchestrated this year by so many talented and committed teachers and volunteers, who work in partnership to benefit our children and enrich their educational experience. You are all inspiring and we thank you for your time and dedication! A very special thank you to our devoted PTA board members who have completed their terms and are moving on: Liza Mason, Jill Simpson, Suzanne Schlegel, Debbie Manetta, Carolynn Dilworth (SEPTA Rep) and George Hebron (Teacher Rep). Many thanks to our supportive school administration, Jennifer Scazafave and Cruz Soler, along with a wonderful staff. Special recognition goes to Deb Garriola and Sue Sparacino in the main office, who help the PTA in so many ways. And, of course, our PTA events could not run without the help of our amazing custodial staff: Tony, Bruno, Mark & Don. We say goodbye to the 5th graders and wish them much success in middle school. We also thank the Murray families who also "graduate" and move on for their contributions over the years -- you will be missed! To the entire Murray Avenue Community, we wish you a summer filled with fun, family and friends! Sincerely, Sue & Kristine |

| "Clean out your Desk" Campaign: Next week, students can donate leftover unused school supplies to the United Community Center of Westchester by placing them in bins provided in the small gym. Please note that this is a voluntary program, and parents must sign and return a permission slip that went home in backpacks in order for their children to participate. | |||||
| A Tip About "Green Power" from the Green Tigers: This summer, most of us will be using more electricity as we cool our homes with air conditioners. Did you know that electricity is one of the biggest producers of carbon? Switching to "green power" is an easy way to reduce a home's carbon footprint. Green power is generated from renewable sources like wind or water. To make the switch, sign up on Con Edison's website. There is no special equipment required. | |||||
