Walking School Bus Sign-Up Is Now

Fall Walk to School Week, Oct. 3-7^th

Walking School Bus Kick off, Wed., Oct 5^th

Jump on the Bus! Now is the time to get into gear and create a Walking School Bus with your neighbors and share the responsibility and fun of walking to school. A minimum of 2 families with at least 2 children participating can form a Walking School Bus and must pledge to walk to school on Wednesdays.

Walking School Buses will kick off on the Wednesday of Fall Walk to School Week, October 5, 2011. Buses will have their photos taken that day and these will be hung in the school hallways throughout the year for students to track their walks.

To participate in a Walking School Bus:

• Identify at least one other student/family with whom you can create a bus.
• Buses must have at least 2 students from at least 2 families but can be as big as you want. Identify your route and come up with a name for your bus!
• Fill out the Walking School Bus Sign-up Form and Passenger Agreement
• Participate in the Walking School Bus Inaugural Walk on Wednesday, October 5^th, 2011.
• Walk with your bus and track your Wednesday walks via the tally sheets hung in the school hallway.

Even if you had a Walking School Bus last year you must sign up again!

Print out a passenger agreement form for each child you have participating and one bus name/route description form per bus. Please include first and last names, grade and teacher.
